NBA playoff schedule and scores
PORTLAND, Ore., April 18 (UPI) -- Stephen Curry finished the season as the NBA's 3-point king Wednesday, making four long-range shots and leading Golden State past Portland 99-88.
The Warriors closed the regular campaign with the sixth best record in the Western Conference and will open the playoffs on the road against Denver -- a team that has lost only three home games all year.
Curry scored 15 points overall and his four 3-pointers gave him 272 for the season. He went into the final night of the season as the seventh-leading scorer overall in the NBA.
Klay Thompson scored 24 points for the Warriors and David Lee added 20.
Portland closed the season with 13 consecutive losses, leaving the Trail Blazers with a 33-49 record. Portland was within three points at the start of the fourth period.
LaMarcus Aldridge scored 30 points and grabbed 21 rebounds for the Trail Blazers. Portland's Damian Lillard ended the season having been on the court more than any other NBA player. He played 41 minutes in Wednesday's game, giving him 3,170 for the season.
