KAPOLEI, Hawaii, April 18 (UPI) -- Ariya Jutanugarn highlighted a day of low scoring Wednesday with an 8-under 64 that gave her the lead after one round of the LOTTE Championship.

There were 77 sub-par rounds shot at the Ko Olina Golf Club and there were 13 players within three shots of the lead.

Jutanugarn, whose sister Moriya had a round of 69, eagled the par-5 14th hole and had a stretch of five birdies over seven holes beginning at the par-4 third.

Suzann Pettersen and Hee Kyung Seo shared second place at 65 while Danielle Kang and Huo Joo Kim both had a 66.

Among those at 67 were Stacy Lewis and Ai Miyazato.

Michelle Wie, trying to get things going after what has been a disappointing season to date, opened with a 70 and was in a tie for 27th place.
