MLB: Texas at Chicago Cubs, ppd., rain

CHICAGO, April 17 (UPI) -- A scheduled interleague game between the Chicago Cubs and Texas Rangers Wednesday was postponed due to a forecast of heavy rain.

The contest at Wrigley Field was called off after the National Weather Service predicted between 1 and 2 inches of rain for Chicago Wednesday night.

No makeup date was immediately announced.
