April 17, 2013 at 7:37 PM

OAKLAND, Calif., April 17 (UPI) -- Bartolo Colon limited the Astros to one run over six innings Wednesday and the Oakland Athletics finished a three-game sweep with a 7-5 win over Houston.

Colon (2-0) allowed just four hits and struck out three while not issuing a walk en route to his second win in three starts to begin the season.

The A's gave him a big early lead, scoring six times in first inning in an outburst highlighted by Josh Reddick's two-run double.

Jed Lowrie and John Jaso each had two hits with an RBI and Seth Smith went 3-for-5 as Oakland improved to 12-4 with the sweep of Houston.

Astros starter Bud Norris (2-2) managed to record only two outs before exiting. He was rocked for six runs on five hits while walking three in the first.

Rick Ankiel and Carlos Pena each socked a solo homer as Houston dropped a fifth straight.
