NHL: Ottawa 3, Carolina 2

OTTAWA, April 16 (UPI) -- Craig Anderson turned aside 32-of-34 shots Tuesday and the Ottawa Senators registered a 3-2 victory over Carolina.

Milan Michalek and Mika Zibanejad each scored for the Sens, who retained their hold on the sixth playoff seed in the Eastern Conference with the victory.

Chris Neil added the eventual game-winning tally late in the second period and Sergei Gonchar contributed two assists for the victors.

Eric Staal and Justin Faulk each found the net for Carolina.

Justin Peters recorded 31 saves in the loss.
