MINNEAPOLIS, April 16 (UPI) -- Al Jefferson
helped keep Utah's playoff hopes alive Monday, netting 22 points and grabbing eight rebounds for the Jazz in their 96-80 win over Minnesota.
Mo Williams (15 points, seven assists) and Randy Foye (14 points) also played key roles as Utah stayed hot down the stretch of the season with their fourth win in five games.
The victory pulled them one game behind the idle Los Angeles Lakers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
To make the post-season, the Jazz must win their final regular-season game Wednesday at Memphis and the Lakers must fall to Houston -- Utah holds the tiebreaker.
Derrick Williams paced Minnesota with 18 points.
