CLEVELAND, April 16 (UPI) -- Mike Napoli
capped a seven-run second inning with a bases-clearing double Tuesday and the Boston Red Sox romped to a 7-2 win over Cleveland.
Pedro Ciriaco, Dustin Pedroia, Jacoby Ellsbury and David Ross each drove in a run for the Bosox, who won a fourth straight in the opener of a three-game series.
Felix Doubront (1-0) struck out seven over five innings to get the victory, permitting two runs on four hits while overcoming four walks.
Tribe starter Ubaldo Jimenez (0-2), meanwhile, issued five bases-on-balls along with two hits over just 1 1/3 innings, yielding seven runs.
Mike Aviles knocked in a run for the Indians.
