BOSTON, April 15 (UPI) -- A scheduled NHL game between the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators Monday was postponed in the wake of deadly explosions at the Boston Marathon.

A league statement issued after the blasts indicated the game would be made up at a date to be determined later.

"The NHL wishes to express its sympathy to all affected by the tragic events that took place in Boston earlier this afternoon," league officials said.

Boston's police commissioner said there were no warnings before two explosions ripped through crowds at the city's marathon, killing at least two.

A least two people were killed and dozens were injured in the explosions.
