NBA: Oklahoma City 116, Golden State 97

OAKLAND, Calif., April 12 (UPI) -- Kevin Durant scored 31 points Friday and helped lift Oklahoma City into the lead in the Western Conference with a 116-97 victory over Golden State.

The Thunder moved a half game in front of San Antonio for the best record in the conference and they need to win two of their last three games to reach 60 victories for the season.

Oklahoma City took a 19-point lead into the fourth quarter, building that advantage by hitting 50 percent from the field. Durant made 10-of-16 shots, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out eight assists.

Kevin Martin added 23 points for Oklahoma City and Russell Westbrook had 18.

Golden State, headed for either a sixth or seventh-place finish in the Western Conference, was led by Stephen Curry with 22 points.
