Kevin Anderson, Martin Klizan advance in Casablanca tennis event

CASABLANCA, Morocco, April 11 (UPI) -- Second-seeded South African Kevin Anderson and No. 3 Slovak Martin Klizan advanced Thursday with second-round victories at the Moroccan Grand Prix tennis event.

Anderson fired eight aces in a 6-3, 6-3 win over qualifier Pablo Carreno-Busta of Spain to set up a quarterfinal match against eighth-seeded Slovenian Grega Zemlja, who advanced with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 victory over Swiss qualifier Henri Laaksonen.

Klizan beat Italian qualifier Filippo Volandri 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) and will face seventh-seeded Dutchman Robin Haase in the quarterfinals. Haase beat Kenny De Schepper of France 6-2, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3.

Top seed Stan Wawrinka will meet Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain in Friday's quarterfinal action, and fourth-seeded Frenchman Benoit Paire will face Tommy Robredo of Spain.
