NBA: Golden State 105, Minnesota 89

OAKLAND, Calif., April 10 (UPI) -- Klay Thompson scored 30 points Tuesday in Golden State's 105-89 win over Minnesota, which clinched the Warriors' first trip to the playoffs since 2007.

Stephen Curry scored 24 and also had 10 assists and joined David Lee and Harrison Barnes in recording double-doubles for the Warriors.

Thompson scored on 10-of-19 shots from the field and had five steals. Golden State shot 42.9 percent from the field and was 10-for-24 from 3-point range.

Minnesota shot 36.7 percent and was outscored 31-19 in the third quarter. Chase Budinger led the Timberwolves with 17 points off the bench, and Andre Kirilenko added 15.
