NBA: Detroit 111, Cleveland 104

CLEVELAND, April 10 (UPI) -- Greg Monroe put Detroit to stay with 38 seconds to play Wednesday and the Pistons held on to defeat Cleveland 111-104.

The Pistons have won back-to-back games for the first time since early February. They had lost 15 out of 17 prior to the consecutive victories over Chicago and Cleveland.

Kyrie Irving tied the score for the Cavaliers by making a layup with 44 seconds remaining and Detroit then finished the contest on an 8-1 run.

Rodney Stuckey and Kyle Singler both hit two free throws in the crucial last 15 seconds.

Andre Drummond hit 10-of-11 shots from the field and scored 29 points to lead the Pistons. Monroe had 23 points and Stuckey added 18.

Irving finished with 27 points in pacing the Cavaliers.
