NBA: Atlanta 124, Philadelphia 101

PHILADELPHIA, April 10 (UPI) -- A big game from Josh Smith Wednesday pushed Atlanta to a 124-101 blasting of Philadelphia that snapped the Hawks' three-game skid.

Atlanta's three consecutive losses all but wiped out the Hawks' hopes of earning home-court advantage in the opening round of the playoffs.

The 76ers lost their third in a row.

Smith had 28 points and 12 rebounds, sparking Atlanta to a 34-point third quarter that broke open the contest.

John Jenkins added 21 points off the bench for the Hawks and Mike Scott had 17. Atlanta shot 53 percent from the field and missed just once in 19 free throw attempts.

Thaddeus Young led Philadelphia with 28 points.
