Tiger Woods, Luke Donald, Scott Piercy in Masters pairing

AUGUSTA, Ga., April 9 (UPI) -- World No. 1 Tiger Woods will be paired with Luke Donald and Scott Piercy in the first two rounds of the 2013 Masters, opening Thursday in Augusta.

Woods is a four-time champion of the event, the first major of the season on the PGA Tour.

His group will tee off at 10:45 a.m. in the first round at the Augusta National Golf Club.

Defending champion Bubba Watson goes off at 10:34 a.m. in a threesome with Ian Poulter and U.S. Amateur champion Steven Fox.

World No. 2 Rory McIlroy, runner-up to Martin Laird in the Texas Open Sunday, will be paired with Fredrik Jacobson and Keegan Bradley at 1:41 p.m.

Three-time Masters winner Phil Mickelson goes out at 1:30 p.m., with Louis Oosthuizen, last year's runner-up, and Martin Kaymer.

Woods has won in three of his five PGA starts this season but hasn't claimed a major title since the 2008 U.S. Open. He has 77 PGA wins and 14 major championships, including the Masters in 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2005.

This year's opening group, teeing off at 8 a.m., consists of Sandy Lyle, who won the Masters in 1988, John Peterson and amateur Nathan Smith.
