NHL: Anaheim 2, Edmonton 1

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 9 (UPI) -- Radek Dvorak scored in the first and third periods Monday, sending the Anaheim Ducks to a 2-1 victory over Edmonton.

Dvorak broke a scoreless tie late in the first period when a rebound off a Ben Lovejoy shot found him alone the slot, where he unleashed a slap shot that beat Devan Dubnyk.

After Nick Schultz scored an equalizer for the Oilers 1:12 into the final frame, Dvorak struck again 6 1/2 minutes later when he cleaned up the rebound of a Daniel Winnik blast.

Saku Koivu assisted on both goals and Jonas Hiller made 27 saves for the Pacific Division-leading Ducks, who improved to 5-1-1 in their last seven games.

Dubnyk finished with 36 saves for Edmonton, who remained four points out of a Western Conference playoff spot.
