Woods keeps No. 1, Laird jumps 61 places

VIRGINIA WATER, England, April 8 (UPI) -- Martin Laird's victory at the Texas Open moved him up 61 places to No. 56 in the men's world golf rankings.

Laird, from Scotland, fired a 9-under-par 63 Sunday to win by two strokes and earned a trip to the Masters.

There was little change at the top of the rankings, announced Monday.

Tiger Woods remains No. 1.

The rest of the Top 10, in order: Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Luke Donald, Brandt Snedeker, Louis Oosthuizen, Adam Scott, Steve Stricker, Phil Mickelson and Matt Kuchar.

Mickelson and Kuchar switched places from the previous week.

Keegan Bradley is No. 11, Ian Poulter 12, Lee Westwood 13, Bubba Watson 14, Charl Schwartzel 15, Sergio Garcia 16, Graeme McDowell 17, Jason Dufner 18, Dustin Johnson 19 and Webb Simpson 20.
