NEW ORLEANS, April 8 (UPI) -- Antonita Slaughter and Bria Smith combined for 35 points Sunday and No. 5 Louisville gained the NCAA tourney title game with a 64-57 win over California.

Slaughter scored 18 points and Smith added 17 for the Cardinals (29-8), who rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit to land in their second NCAA Woman's Tournament championship game in five years.

They will play UConn in Tuesday's title tilt. The Huskies bounced Notre Dame in Sunday's late national semifinal.

The Golden Bears (32-4) were led by Layshia Clarendon with 17 points.
