DENVER, April 7 (UPI) -- Jhoulys Chacin tamed the Padres on one run through 6 2/3 innings Sunday and the Colorado Rockies reeled off their fifth straight win, 9-1 over San Diego.

Chacin (1-0) yielded six hits against the Padres after opening the season with a similar 6 2/3-inning, one-run effort against Milwaukee, which resulted in a no-decision.

Wilin Rosario smacked a three-run home run, Dexter Fowler added a two-run shot -- his fourth of the season -- and Jonathan Herrera went 3-for-4 with two RBI for Colorado.

San Diego starter Edinson Volquez (0-2) was saddled with the loss, surrendering four runs on nine hits over frames.

Chris Denorfia supplied the lone RBI for the Padres.
