NEWARK, N.J., April 6 (UPI) -- Toronto's James Reimer turned aside 27-of-28 shots Saturday and the Maple Leafs dealt New Jersey's playoff hopes a blow with a 2-1 win over the Devils.

Reimer turned aside all 14 first-period shots he saw as Leo Komarov was giving the Leafs a 1-0 lead with goal 3:49 into the game on a redirection of a Mark Fraser shot.

After a scoreless middle frame, Tyler Bozak doubled the lead with a score on a breakaway off a break-out pass from Phil Kessel and Toronto hung on to notch its fourth win in five games.

David Clarkson scored for the Devils, who fell three points out of an Eastern Conference playoff spot.

Martin Brodeur made 16 saves for New Jersey.
