ARLINGTON, Texas, April 6 (UPI) -- Albert Pujols smashed two homers Saturday and the Los Angeles Angels banged out 12 hits Saturday in their 8-4 victory over Texas.

Pujols' two-run shot in the first inning staked the Angels to a quick lead and Mark Trumbo also added a two-run blast in the initial frame.

Pujols and Peter Bourjos each launched a solo shot in the sixth for Los Angeles, which evened its three-game series against the Rangers.

Tommy Hanson (1-0) picked up the win in his Angels debut, yielding three runs on six hits over six frames while walking none and striking out four.

Rangers starter Matt Harrison (0-2) was rocked for five runs on eight hits over five full innings.

Ian Kinsler, Nelson Cruz and Mitch Moreland each hit bases-empty homers for Texas.
