CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 5 (UPI) -- Mike Miller hit 7-of-11 from 3-point range and scored 26 points Friday, launching Miami to an 89-79 victory over Charlotte.

Both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were rested for the third straight contest, leaving the Heat with plenty of points to make up against the team with the worst record in the NBA.

Miller did his part, producing a season high in points. Chris Bosh added 18 along with eight rebounds and six assists.

Charlotte, which has dropped four out of five, was led by Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

The Bobcats' chances were dimmed when they managed to score just eight points in the third period.
