ST. PAUL, Minn., April 3 (UPI) -- All-star forward Jason Pominville is going from the Buffalo Sabres to the Minnesota Wild in a trade announced Wednesday.
Pominville was dealt by Buffalo to Minnesota in exchange for goaltender Matt Hackett, forward Johan Larsson, a first-round draft pick in 2013 and a second-round pick in 2014.
The 30-year-old right wing notched 30 goals and 43 assists in 2011-12, earning a selection to the NHL All-Star Game.
This season, he has 10 goals and 15 assists in 37 games for the Sabres, who are out of contention in the Eastern Conference.
The Wild, meanwhile, hold the third playoff seed in the West, and with the trade have added some scoring punch as they prepare for the post-season.
Pominville, a native of Repentigny, Quebec, has compiled 12 goals and 16 assists in 45 playoff games for Buffalo.
The Wild also announced they have obtained goaltender Jeff Deslauriers, 28, from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for future considerations.
