COL BKB (W): Georgia 61, Stanford 59

SPOKANE, Wash., March 31 (UPI) -- Jasmine Hassell's go-ahead jumper with 1 minute left Saturday let No. 4 Georgia eke out a 61-59 win over top-seeded Stanford in the NCAA women's tournament.

Hassell went 5-of-6 from the field and finished with 13 points for the Lady Bulldogs (28-6), who rallied from a eight-point, second-half deficit to notch the Spokane Region win and advance to the tourney's Elite Eight.

Jasmine James led Georgia with 16 points and five assists while Tiaria Griffin also reached double figures with 13 points in the victory.

The Lady Bulldogs will next meet second-ranked California, which beat sixth-ranked Louisiana State and No. 2 California in Saturday's late game.

Shacobia Barbee and Anne Marie Armstrong combined for 22 rebounds for Georgia.

The Cardinal (33-3) were paced by Chiney Ogwumike with 26 points and 12 points.

Amber Orrange added 17 points and eight boards in the loss.
