ST. PAUL, Minn., March 30 (UPI) -- Zach Parise got a late equalizer and Matt Cullen capped a Minnesota rally with a shootout game-winner Saturday in the Wild's 4-3 verdict over Los Angeles.

The Wild, trailing 3-1 in the second period, began their comeback when Charlie Coyle scored with 6:07 left in the middle frame, and Parise pulled Minnesota even with a power-play goal early in the third.

After a scoreless overtime, the game went to shootout with Parise and Mikko Koivu each scoring in first two rounds.

Mike Richards kept the tiebreaker alive with a tally off Niklas Backstrom, but Cullen then ended it with a fake and a shot through the pads of Kings goalie Jonathan Quick.

Cullen also scored in regulation while Backstrom finished with 28 saves for the Northeast Division-leading Wild, who claimed an eight win in nine contests.

Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter and Justin Williams each scored for the Kings, who hold the fifth Western Conference playoff spot.

Quick turned aside 25-of-28 shots.
