VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 29 (UPI) -- Daniel Sedin scored Vancouver's go-ahead goal with 8:28 to go in the third period Thursday, propelling the Canucks to a 4-1 win over Colorado.
Vancouver won its sixth straight game, a streak that has vaulted the Canucks into third place in the Western Conference standings.
Cory Schneider took a shutout into the third period and made 30 saves to get the victory. Schneider has been in goal for all six victories in Vancouver's current streak.
Colorado, sitting in last place in the Western Conference, lost its fourth in a row. Semyon Varlamov allowed two goals on 18 shots for the Avalanche.
