NBA: Toronto 99, Detroit 82

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 29 (UPI) -- Rudy Gay and DeMar DeRozan both produced 21 points Friday in bringing Toronto back from an early deficit to a 99-82 decision over Detroit.

The Raptors ended a five-game skid, overcoming a seven-point hole after one period and then outscoring Detroit by 20 in the third period to take control.

In a meeting of teams that will miss the playoffs, Toronto shot 53 percent from the field.

Amir Johnson chipped in 20 points and eight rebounds for the Raptors, who reached 10 wins on the road for the year.

Jonas Jerebko had 20 points for Detroit, a loser of 12 out of 13.
