NEW ORLEANS, March 29 (UPI) -- LeBron James ended Miami's losing streak at a single game by scoring 36 points Friday and pushing the Heat to a 108-89 victory over New Orleans.

Miami had the second-longest winning streak in NBA history come to an end at 27 games on Wednesday with a setback against Chicago, but the downtrodden Hornets were no match for a team on a mission.

James made seven 3-pointers while hitting 13-of-20 from the field. Dwyane Wade added 17 points and nine assists for the Heat while Norris Cole had 12.

Miami took a 17-point halftime lead and coasted from there with James putting in just 32 minutes of playing time.

Ryan Anderson scored 20 points for New Orleans, which has compiled a 3-3 mark on a seven-game home stand. The Hornets had won six in a row at home against the Heat.
