NBA: New York 100, Boston 85

BOSTON, March 26 (UPI) -- J.R. Smith poured in 32 points and Carmelo Anthony added 29 Tuesday, propelling the New York Knicks to a dominating 100-85 win over Boston.

The pair also combined for 15 rebounds and New York took advantage of 20 Boston turnovers en route to its fifth straight victory.

With the win, the Atlantic Division-leading Knicks remained percentage points ahead of the Indiana Pacers for the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics, meanwhile, tumbled to their fifth straight setback and dropped to the seventh seed in the East.

Jeff Green supplied 19 points and 10 rebounds in Boston's loss.

Paul Pierce (16 points) and Jordan Crawford (14) also reached double figures for the Celtics.
