CARLSBAD, Calif., March 22 (UPI) -- Beatriz Recari, a one-time winner in her three years on the LPGA Tour, equaled the low round of the afternoon Friday to take the lead in the Kia Classic.

Recari posted a 5-under 67 at the Aviara Golf Club for a two-day total of 8-under 136 that put her a shot in front of Paula Creamer and Karrie Webb.

Creamer shot a 68 that included two bogeys to reach 137 as she searches for her first victory since winning the 2010 U.S. Women's Open.

Cristie Kerr, I.K. Kim, Inbee Park and Haeji Kang and first-round leader Jane Park were all at 138. Park settled for a 72 after turning in the tournament's low round of 66 on Thursday.

Stacy Lewis, playing for the first time as the No. 1 ranked player in the world, was tied for 11th at 140. The player Lewis supplanted in the top spot, Yani Tseng, was disqualified from the tournament after oversleeping on Wednesday and missing her starting time in the pro-am event.
