NHL: Los Angeles 3, Phoenix 2

LOS ANGELES, March 20 (UPI) -- Jonathan Bernier made 40 saves Tuesday to lead the Los Angeles Kings to a 3-2 home win over the Phoenix Coyotes.

It was a career-high saves total for Bernier, who improved his record to 7-0-0 in eight starts.

Jarret Stoll, Dustin Penner and Drew Doughty scored for the Kings, who have won three in a row.

Shane Done scored two goals for the Coyotes, who had been shut out in the past three games and lost for the fifth consecutive road game. Mike Smith made 26 saves.
