AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 18 (UPI) -- Deron Williams pumped in 31 points Monday and the Brooklyn Nets got an eight-game road trip off to a good start with a 119-82 thrashing of Detroit.

Williams was hot to begin the game, putting in 14 of his points in the first quarter, and the Nets never looked back.

Brook Lopez helped out with 18 points for Brooklyn, which snapped a 10-game losing streak at Detroit.

Andray Blatche also reached double figures with 15 and Joe Johnson added 13 in the win.

Will Bynum and Greg Monroe combined for 35 points for the reeling Pistons, who fell for the ninth straight time and remained winless in March.
