NBA: Portland 112, Detroit 101

PORTLAND, Ore., March 17 (UPI) -- LaMarcus Aldridge fired in 31 points and heated up down the stretch Saturday in the Portland Trail Blazers' 112-101 victory over Detroit.

Aldridge got 13 of his points in the fourth quarter and also collected 12 rebounds as the Blazers finished a three-game home stand with a 2-1 mark.

J.J. Hickson (18 points, 15 rebounds) Wesley Matthews, Nicolas Batum (17 points each) and Damian Lillard (14, seven assists) also reached double figures for Portland.

Detroit's Rodney Stuckey struck for 32 points but left the game with a cut above his right eye after colliding with Lillard.

The Pistons tumbled to their eighth straight loss with Will Bynum's 23 points their best offensive performance.
