KANSAS CITY, Kan., March 16 (UPI) --
Chicago's Sean Johnson made three saves Saturday, helping the Fire hold on for a 0-0 draw with Sporting Kansas City.
SKC had more opportunities throughout the contest, but Johnson notched his first clean sheet of the season for Chicago (0-2-1), which collected its first point of the season.
The Fire almost stole a win in second-half stoppage time, but Kansas City goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen made a sliding save on Dan Paladini.
SKC (1-1-1) was off-target on 20 shots in its home opener.
