NEWARK, N.J., March 13 (UPI) -- Adam Henrique started and finished a stretch of four straight New Jersey goals Wednesday that lifted the Devils to a 5-2 win over Philadelphia.

The teams were knotted at 1-1 midway through the first period when Enrique scored on a wrist shot.

Ilya Kovalchuk tallied shorthanded for the Devils with 2:42 to go in the opening stanza and Andrei Loktionov extended the lead with the only goal of the second period.

Henrique scored again on the power play early in the third, running his total for the year to nine.

Johan Hedberg made 23 saves in what was New Jersey's third win in four games.

Philadelphia has dropped four of five, failing to follow up on its win on Sunday against Buffalo. Ilya Bryzgalov took the loss, stopping 32 shots.

The teams will finish off a home-and-home series in Philadelphia Friday.
