NBA: New Orleans 98, Portland 96

NEW ORLEANS, March 10 (UPI) -- Ryan Anderson put in the go-ahead basket with 1.8 seconds left and added a free throw Sunday, boosting the New Orleans Hornets over Portland 98-96.

The decisive 3-point play came when Anderson muscled through a foul by Jared Jeffries in the lane to make the shot.

The final points gave Anderson 20 to go with 13 rebounds. Greivis Vasquez also contributed 20 points, and Anthony Davis added 18 points and 10 rebounds as the Hornets snapped a three-game losing streak.

Damian Lillard made a 3-pointer that put the Trail Blazers ahead with 11 seconds remaining. He finished with 20 points and eight assists in the loss.

Wesley Matthews provided 24 points for Portland.
