RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico, March 9 (UPI) -- Fabian Gomez shot 7-under 65 and Scott Brown shot 67 Saturday to end the third round of the Puerto Rico Open tied for first at a tournament-record 18-under 198.
The pair held a four-stroke lead over a group of four players at 14-under -- including Brian Stuard (66), Jordan Spieth (67), Blayne Barber (66) and Steve LeBrun (70).
Spieth recorded the first hole-in-one of his PGA Tour career on the 192-yard 11th hole, while Ryo Ishikawa notched his initial pro tour ace on the eighth hole.
Defending champion George McNeill shot 69 Saturday, ending the third round in a tie for eighth with six other players, including Ishikawa (66) and Boo Weekly (66).
