NHL: Columbus 2, Vancouver 1 (OT)

COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 7 (UPI) -- Matt Calvert scored with 57 seconds remaining in overtime Thursday, boosting Columbus to a 2-1 decision over Vancouver.

The Blue Jackets won their third in a row with Sergei Bobrovsky turning aside 34 shots.

Calvert came through on a slap shot for his fourth goal of the season, getting the best of Cory Schneider. The only other Columbus goal came in the first period from R.J. Umberger.

Henrik Sedin scored 1:05 into the third period to tie it, but the Canucks had to settle for one point in their third straight loss.

Schneider stopped 25 of 27 shots.
