PITTSBURGH, March 4 (UPI) -- Cornerback William Gay says he is rejoining the Pittsburgh Steelers after a year with the Arizona Cardinals.

Although agent Jerrold Colton declined to say if his client has signed a contract with the Steelers, Gay, 28, identifies himself on his Twitter account as a "cornerback of the Pittsburgh Steelers."

Gay was a Steelers' cornerback in 2009, lost his job to Bryant McFadden in 2010, regained it in 2011 and signed with Arizona as a free agent in 2012, with Keenan Lewis taking his place in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers may lose Lewis to unrestricted free agency, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said Monday.
