WINNIPEG, Manitoba, March 2 (UPI) -- Braden Holtby earned his third shutout of the season Saturday, notching 35 saves in the Washington Capitals' 3-0 win over Winnipeg.

Holtby turned aside all 16 shots he saw in a furious third period en route to his sixth career whitewash as the last-place Capitals racked up their third win in four games.

Mike Ribeiro registered a goal and an assist while Matt Hendricks and Troy Brouwer also found the net for Washington.

Ondrej Pavelec stopped 18-of-21 shots for the Jets, who lost for the first time in four contests.
