CLEVELAND, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Dion Waiters led Cleveland's balanced effort with 23 points Wednesday and the Cavaliers took charge late in the third period to defeat Toronto 103-92.

Kyrie Irving missed his second straight game for the Cavaliers with a knee injury, but Cleveland has won both of them.

Toronto was within two with 3:48 to play in the third period only to be held scoreless for the rest of the way in that quarter. The Raptors were also shut out during first 2:01 of the fourth.

That allowed the Cavaliers to build an 86-71 lead and they held on to win for the 20th time this season. Four of those victories have come in Cleveland's last five games.

Shaun Livingston chipped in 15 points for Cleveland and Tristan Thompson added 14-point, six-assist effort.

Toronto let a 34-point effort from DeMar DeRozan go to waste.
