NEW YORK, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- The New York Giants and offensive tackle Will Beatty have agreed on five-year contract, the NFL team announced Wednesday.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed, by The (Newark, N.J.) Star-Ledger reported it is worth a fully-guaranteed $37.5 million, including a $12.5 million signing bonus.

Beatty, an impending free agent, was a second-round pick in the 2009 NFL draft. He played in all 16 games last season, starting 14.

"We are very pleased to get a new deal done with Will," Giants General Manager Jerry Reese said. "We believe he is one of the ascending left tackles in the NFL."

"Having this be my home team, I really didn't want to go into free agency," Beatty added. "This is the team that wanted me from college. This is the team that gave me my first chance. This team went to the Super Bowl. I saw so many great moments with this team and there are still so many more to come."
