NBA: Portland 92, Boston 86

PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Wesley Matthews drained five 3-pointers en route to 24 points Sunday and Portland snapped a seven-game skid with a 92-86 win over Boston.

Nicolas Batum added 18 points, LaMarcus Aldridge chipped in 16 and J.J. Hickson contributed a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Trail Blazers.

The Celtics were led by Paul Pierce with 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.

Kevin Garnett had 20 points and nine rebounds for Boston.
