BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Spain's David Ferrer collected his second straight Buenos Aires title Sunday, besting Stanislas Wawrinka in three sets at the Copa Claro tennis event.

The top-seeded Ferrer took out Switzerland's Wawrinka 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, racking up his 20th career singles title and his second of the year following a triumph last month in Auckland.

With the victory, he moved into a third-place tie with Roger Federer and Nikolay Davydenko on the list of most clay-court victories among active players with 10.

The third-seeded Wawrinka, meanwhile, fell to 3-7 in career title matches.
