MEMPHIS, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Marina Erakovic netted her first career pro victory Saturday, winning in a walkover over Sabine Lisicki at the U.S. National Indoor Tennis Championship.
Erakovic dominated the first set 6-1 with four aces before the third-seeded Lisicki of Germany pulled out of the match at the Racquet Club of Memphis, citing illness.
The 24-year-old Croatia native, who lives in New Zealand, was appearing in her third career final, including last year's event in Memphis.
Her other championship match came in Quebec City in 2011.
