WASHINGTON, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Martell Webster scored five points during a 13-0 run to open the third quarter that lifted Washington to a 119-113 victory over Denver.

Washington led by 16 to begin the fourth quarter only to have the Nuggets climb to within two down the stretch. Ty Lawson had a chance to tie it with 39 seconds left, but he had a layup attempt blocked by Nene and Washington's John Wall hit a jumper with 14 seconds left to give the Wizards a four-point cushion.

Bradley Beal and Emeka Okafor both scored 17 points for Washington. Trevor Ariza had 16 and Webster produced 15.

Lawson led the Nuggets with 27 points and 12 assists, but Denver lost for the fourth time in five games.
