DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Sara Errani and Petra Kvitova each won in straight sets Friday in advancing to the finals of the WTA's Dubai Duty Free Tennis championships.

Errani, the No. 5 seed, defeated Roberta Vinci 6-3, 6-3 and Kvitova, the sixth-seed, followed with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over No. 8-seeded Caroline Wozniacki.

Errani survived her semifinal despite dropping serve four times and winning less than half (27-of-55) of the points on serve. She countered that by piling up seven breaks while taking 58 percent of the points off Vinci's serve.

Kvitova won two-thirds of the points on serve and only lost her serve once. She made a first-game break stand up in winning the first set and immediately answered Wozniacki's break midway through the second with a break of her own and put the win away with a break in the final game.

Kvitova takes a 3-0 lifetime record versus Errani into Saturday's final. She won all three in straight sets last year.

The Dubai champion will collect about $442,000 with the runner-up taking home $240,000. Vinci and Wozniacki each earned $129,000 as quarterfinalists.
