CHICAGO, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Andrew Shaw and Patrick Kane each tallied a shootout goal Tuesday and the Chicago Blackhawks tied an NHL record with their 4-3 win over Vancouver.

The Blackhawks surrendered a 3-1 lead in the third period when Alexander Edler and Kevin Bieksa each scored within the final 2 1/2 minutes.

But after a scoreless overtime, Shaw and Kane beat Canucks goalie Cory Schneider while Ray Emery made stops on Jordan Schroeder and Ryan Kesler, boosting the Blackhawks to a 13-0-3 mark for the season.

The 16 games to start a season without a regulation loss tied an all-time NHL record set by the 2006-07 Anaheim Ducks.

Chicago's Marian Hossa scored twice before leaving the game in the third period after taking a blow to the back of the head from Vancouver's Jannik Hansen.

Patrick Sharp added a goal and Emery finished with 29 saves in the win.

Daniel Sedin found the net and Schneider turned in 40 saves for the Canucks, whose winless streak extended to three games.
