BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Third-seeded Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland was among the first-round winners Tuesday in Buenos Aires, breezing past Italian Paolo Lorenzi.

Wawrinka dispatched Lorenzi in less than an hour, 6-3, 6-3, at the Copa Claro event, thanks in part to five saved break opportunities.

Not faring as well, however, was seventh-seeded Pablo Andujar, who was bounced by fellow Spaniard Albert Montanes 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 in another opening-round match-up.

Other Day 2 winners included Russian Andrey Kuznetsov, former top-five Spaniard Tommy Robredo, German qualifier Julian Reister, Argentine Leonardo Mayer and Spaniard Daniel Gimeno-Traver.

Top-seeded defending champion David Ferrer is set to play Wednesday in the second round against Argentine wild card Agustin Velotti.
