NHL: Winnipeg 2, Buffalo 1

BUFFALO, N.Y., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Ondrej Pavelec turned aside 29-of-30 shots Tuesday and the Winnipeg Jets rode his hot hand to a 2-1 win over Buffalo.

Pavelec turned aside 10-of-11 Sabres shots in the third period, helping the Jets break a three-game losing streak in the first of five-game road trip.

Andrew Ladd scored early in the second period to provide the eventual game-winner and Bryan Little also found the net in the victory.

Jason Pominville scored and Ryan Miller made 26 saves for Buffalo, which fell for the fourth time in five games.
