Top four seeds reach SAP semifinals

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Milos Raonic, John Isner, Sam Querrey and Tommy Hass -- the top four seeds -- all advanced to the semifinals of the SAP Open in San Jose Friday.

Top-seeded Canadian Raonic defeated No. 6 seed Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan 7-6 (7-0), 6-3, in the marquee match.

No. 2 seed Isner of the United States advanced with a 7-6 (10-8), 6-2 win over eighth-seeded Belgian Xavier Malisse.

Third-seeded Querrey of the United States was a 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 winner over Alejandro Falla of Colombia in the nightcap, after Haas of Germany, the fourth seed, took care of American Steve Johnson 6-4, 6-2.
